sorry so long since I've been here. School has been hell for the last few weeks. Catching up and trying to get stuff done. Lots of nights I'm home working on lectures till midnight. But yesterday was the last lecture for the semester. YEAH!!! I still need to be there doing some work but the pressure is off.
Also planning on getting on my exercise kick and get serious about it. No excuses now. I need to lose 15 pounds and get in shape. April 1 is the life changing kickoff date for me. I may even join weight watchers with Sandy next wednesday.
Gma and Gpa are doing well. Gpa has actually had a tiny bit of vision out of his right eye. It doesn't last long but is more than he has had in a long time. I think he has an appt with his eye doctor coming up in the next 2 weeks and I'm anxious to see what he thinks.
Greening up around here. Rick is wanting a bigger lawn mower and our grass is a foot tall so I guess we'll be looking for one this weekend. Can't be spending time working in the yard when the golf course is across the street calling his name!
Everything else about the same. Work, sleep, eat, repeat.

hey yall watch this

i never know what to type in the title block. do you actually have to put something there? well, anywho, not of lot has happened, just been busy. it's funny how you always seem so busy and never accomplish anything. we did get our camper bought this weekend. i'm so excited about having it. i love to tent camp, it's just so hard with the dogs and now expecting the kid. me and juan and kate, maybe pun, are going to try to camp over easter. can't put anything in stone though. to early to tell aobut the weather and getting time for the kid to get here. we'll see. we're taking the "hospital kit" camping with us for that just in case situation.

speaking of the kid. she is moving around all the time now. and that is a literal interpretation. all freakin day. even when i wake up at night to pee she is moving. don't know if that means she is coming soon or not. just that she never sleeps and i'm in for a world of trouble when she does finally pop out. i'll never get my eyes closed. i have looked at mother blogs and read articles and can't believe that so few mothers have constant movement. most of them are still counting the 10 per 2 hour deal. i'm looking Hannah stays still for an hour.

well, that's all the news i have for now. i have to get off here so i can go to chow with the hubby. love you all. and remember sis, you still owe us some pics of you and the ol man.

another week done

another busy week. made even longer when Rick and I got sick with a bad cold. It didn't last long for me though. I took some Hall's defense lozenges with zinc, vitamin C and echinacea. I guess they helped. I had to lecture 3 hours one day though and my voice was about gone.
Sorry, Amy, that you are tired. That goes along with the pregnant part. Will only get worse I'm afraid but at least it will end. then you'll be tired because you have to get up several times at night. But I've never regretted any of it. Wouldn't trade you guys for any amount of rest and sleep.
I started a new class this week - landscaping. The teacher isn't really a professional but seems very nice. Wants to help us get our own landscaping plotted out. Should be fun. Rick and I have a blank slate. Lots to do come spring.
Running/walking got put on hold while I couldn't take a good breath. Guess I better get back to it soon though. Tina is up to running 3 miles by now. Puts me to shame.

catchin' up

well, it's been awhile since i had time to get on here to say howdy. i've been so busy between school and work the last couple of weeks. and it just seems like i get more tired with everyday that goes by. mi clase de espanol is finally over on monday. it was an 8 wk/half semester course. just a helpful hint little seester, don't take a half semester of any language. there is not enough time. some of the people in my class were getting 40's on their tests. we spent 2 days on the last chapter and he ended the class by telling us that there wasn't enough time for a review day and our test would be tomorrow. i don't think i did so well on that test. the finals are monday. i have a written and oral final. and my culture essay and 2 extra credit essays are due on that day too. so i will be busy again all weekend.

on another note, i picked all that stuff up from wal-mart. tell g-pa i love the stroller mom. and juan likes the monitors. he talks to the dogs on them. it's pretty funny cause the dogs don't understand. we put one in the kitchen and the speaker in the baby's room to see how they worked. he was whispering at the dogs but they heard his voice coming from the baby's room louder. they were confused. they just run back and forth from one room to the other trying to figure it out. cooper runs and looks at the speaker with his head cocked off to the side. soooo cute. anywho guess i've wrote enough for now. my lunch break is almost over and i have to get through my blade fold/wing stow class this afternoon then it will be the weekend. i can't wait to be lazy and sleep in on saturday. love you all and write sometime.

weekends!

thank goodness for weekends! Rick and I are coming down with colds and I think I have just wore myself out. I slept for over 10 hours last night. Never get to do that. Maybe I'll fight this cold off better.
Weather here has really sucked. 2 ice storms in a row. didn't even get to recover much from the first. school was cancelled for 2 days and now we are behind in our lectures. don't know when we'll catch up. cram it in a little more I guess.
I sent in my application for nurse practitioner school this week. hopefully I will be accepted and get to start in the fall. It's a full time program so it will be extremely busy for me. Hopefully I will be able to keep teaching for the fall and spring semesters coming up. off for the summer but I'll have to quit work the last semester. No other way to get in all the clinical hours I need. But it will only be for about 4 months. Then I'll be making the big bucks. Already had 2 job offers. One for 90K/year! Just decided I needed to get this done. Rick will feel better about retiring if I'm making a good income to replace his.
grandma and grandpa doing pretty well. they keep their house so hot it's hard to do any work there. I think it would make me sick but then they seldom go outside so they don't have big temperature changes. Grandma has some difficulties. her appetite isn't as good as it used to be - she's getting kind of picky and it makes it hard for grandpa to fix stuff for her. she also has some problems going to the bathroom. I'll have to find somebody this summer to help them out. Once I start school it will be hard to get everything done for them. thought I'd try to get that worked out this summer before I start. Maybe I can get the house straightened up by then.
Met Travis girlfriend, Kat. she seems nice and pretty cute too. he says they think the same about everything and he's never met anyone like her before. it's good to see him happy again.
better get busy with housework around here. Kate, I'll get your bill paid but transfer the money asap to my checking account okay.

Finally getting unsick

It's been a week since I started getting sick. Finally it is starting to go away. I still have a slight cough but other than that I am ok. Jeremy on the other hand just caught it from me a few days ago. Bless his heart. I feel horrible for him. I know exactly how he feels. I am kind of tired today though. I was getting up continuously throughout the night taking care of him. At one point he had a 100.4 temperature and I had to get up to go find him some Tylenol or something to make the fever go down. At that point I got him some more cough syrup and sudafed. Gave him a gatorade and a cough drop and he went back to sleep for a little while. He still tossed and turned all night. And he would want to cuddle and would be all hot and sweaty. Yuck! But I cuddled anyways because I love him and he wasn't feeling well. Got up about 930 10 and did the dishes and got some biscuits and gravy started. The boys finally got up about 11 and took showers and came into the living room. Took Jeremy's temp again and it was back down to 98.3 but he was still having chills. He's doing better though. They are off at the barber shop right now getting their weekly haircuts.
Poor Taylor had quite the time on Friday. She has been sick with pneumonia off and on since Christmas Eve. Friday morning she woke up and told her mom Mommy I have a fever call the doctor. Quite the phrase for a 3 year old. By about 2 or 3 in the afternoon she ended up having a 104.8 temp and was starting to have seizures when she was at urgent care. They stripped her down and gave her a sponge bath and gave her some medicine to make the fever go down. She had low hemoglobin when they drew her blood. Probably because when she isn't at our house she gets mcdonald's for dinner all the time. Jeremy said Lisa doesn't know how to cook. So she isn't getting an adequate amount of greens. But I think she will start giving her Flinestone Kids Vitamins. So that's good.
The boys are painting the garage this weekend. They are painting it in the Coors Light colors. Blue and grey. It looks good so far.
But other than all that I just am tired and have a headache. Threw a picture on here of Taylor. I don't really have a whole lot of pictures of the rest of our family. Suppose I will have to work on that. I need to clean up breakfast though. I will talk to you all later. Love you and miss you all!

not tired, but busy

we have the terminex guy coming over today and we forgot until the last minute. so i've been cleaning house all morning. at least we don't have to worry about cleaning later. sunday is usually our cleaning day but we don't go back to work until wednesday. we were gonna clean tomorrow.

anywho, i'm running outta room in the baby room. i don't know where i'm gonna put everything. after the stroller and carseat we don't have anymore big stuff so i'll get it figured out. i think i'll go ahead and put the bassinet in our room so it'll be outta the way. juan still has to get my glider/rocker too. don't know where that is gonna go. i really don't wanna get rid of the chaise lounge, good for nursing, but i really don't have room for it.

other than that, i have the pics you wanted mama. we re-did our computer and deleted all kinds of crap so it's gonna take a miracle to get them emailed to you. all i should have it figured out by the end of the week. love you all and miss everyone.

Busy? or tired of blogging?

Hello to anyone that visits here. I'm still working but not busy right now. Getting late, my head hurts and I'm ready to go home. Just a few more minutes and I'll be on my way.
What a week. The weather sure did turn it's rear and fart on us! Ice storms, loss of power, UGH! Had to stay in a hotel one night and not even a nice one. But we were lucky and ours was only off for a day. I guess there are still about 6000 in southern Illinois still without electricity since Tuesday(4 days ago!)
Sorry I missed sending Valentine wishes to all my Valentines. I'm not a very good correspondent. In my defense, my internet is out at home. So this is a belated Valentine wish for you all. LOVE YOU!
Hopefully will talk to all this weekend.

Mondays

Another weekend passed by. Got a lot done I guess. Mostly cleaning. Another work week begins. I must be hesitant to start cause I came in here to read my email and here I am 30 minutes later. Coffee getting cold. Lots to do today and need to get going.
Travis here last night. Off to work in Benton, IL with Dad putting together an alcohol plant. He seems to be doing well. Met a girl this weekend and seemed positive about it. He's driving back tonight. Weather is supposed to get bad today so hopefully he'll make it fine.
More doors put up here. Now the only doors left are the closets and upstairs. Still plenty of work to do. Rick keeps plugging at it. Hopefully we'll be done by spring so we can move the work outside. Landscaping time! I'm hoping to put out a garden this year. Just a small one. Few tomatoes and peppers, my herbs of course, and some squash (that stuff is always easy to grow!)

Long week

This week seemed like it was never going to end. I had an extremely long week. Can you believe that they gave me authorization and a license to tow a multi-million dollar helicopter. That's what I worked on this week. I didn't want it because it's just more stuff I have to do at work but I had to get it because we only had one guy and his wife has something wrong with her appendix so he couldn't work the past 2 days. Anyways. It's worn me out driving helicopters around for the past 3 days. How is everyone after this dreadful week? We are ok in this house. Jeremy went to get his flight physical to see if he is still in good enough condition to fly and they told him he couldn't because he needed glasses. But he got that fixed today so he can fly again. He is leaving the first week of March to go to weapons and tactics instruction or whatever in Yuma, Arizona. He will be gone for 2 months. I'm going to miss him a lot but I have other things that will happen in his absence. For example the arrival of my wonderful niece Hannah. Can't wait to see her finally. She ain't even here and I love her so much already. Can't wait for her to get here. I'm going to spoil her so much. Hehehe! Poon(the guy that lives with us) is doing good. He has a boat so him and Jeremy and our friend Sean go fishing every weekend for a boys day. I usually either clean the house or go somewhere with Sean's girlfriend Tiffany. She's just like me. Just a good ole country girl. Everything is good here though. They aren't going fishing this weekend though because Sean and Tiff went out of town to Florida this weekend to visit Tiff's folks. So instead of fishing this weekend the 3 of us our going to do a mass cleaning from top to bottom on the house and repaint all the molding throughout the house. It's going to be a long weekend but at least I'll be away from work. But we are going to eat at our friend Stacey and George's in a bit so I'm going to get off here and get out of my oorah military attire and get in some comfy jeans and a t-shirt. I love all of yall. I don't think i could take anymore this week. we have a retirement ceremony we've been practicing for all week (i'm the narrator), had a spanish test, and juan has been talking about trading his truck off. it's so hectic trying to keep up with everything. i am ready to have a stress free weekend. anywho, i saw that denise posted something about abs so i posted a good ab workout book for you all. anywho, just thought i would get on here and say howdy and good morning. love you all.

Hello out there

I know we're all busy. So I won't gripe about anybody not writing. Usually my problem. Things going pretty well here. Enjoyed some weather breaking weather on Monday with a high of 74! Then tornadoes and storms came through last night. South of here got the worst of it. Never enough hours in the day for all I'd like to do of course. I got my walking in twice this week and plan on tonight too even if on the treadmill.
Students must be getting as tired as I am - they are all getting so whiney! End of March I am done with lectures and only have to follow up weekly with the students. Yeah!
Grandma and Grandpa doing well. Both went to doctor last week and everything was good. Grandpa saw his doctor that controls his steroid dose and seems to be reducing without any problems. Almost on a maintenance dose now. They are glad to have Mary back. He looked and acted half starved but once his belly was full he settled right back into the house cat routine (laying in the rocker).

Superbowl plans

Superbowl Sunday is here. Rick and I have gotten into making it an event every year. So far it's just the 2 of us. But still fun. I have my Bud light, wine or Pineapple-orange and rum - whichever I feel like at the time. I think though that beer should be the beverage of choice for the Superbowl. After all, you don't see commercials for rum and wine. I have my wager - not for any team but for scores at each quarter. Here's my numbers: NY 4, NE 8 and NV 1, NE 6. what this means: if the last number of the score at the end of the quarter matches my numbers I get $125. It's random drawing of numbers so we don't get to choose. Keep your fingers crossed, I could always use an extra $125 or $250 dollars!
Went to Walmart today and Petsmart. I think I'm going to enroll Ginger in beginning obedience classes. They told me that by the end of the 8 weeks, she would behave well at home - no jumping up on people and no barking! She really needs to learn to behave. Classes start the 18th. Hope it works.
Now I'm back to work. Lessons for Tuesday and Thursday. Takes me so darn long! Oh well, next semester I'll finally be a little ahead of the game.

Internet outage

Not just busy. My internet was off for the last 4 days. Just came on last night after several mad messages left to the people I get service from. A__holes!!! As soon as they get the rest of the tvs hooked up I'm going to try to get a different internet service. I don't think we signed a contract or anything.
Rick and I are well. Still working on doors and trimwork. Took Gma to her hair appt this morning since it was icy/snow on Thursday. She looked pretty. She's had a bad couple of days before this. I had to work at the hospital on Wed and missed seeing as much of them for several days. I think she was missing me. Anyway, I visited last night, helped her get a bath and she was in much better spirits. Gave me a hug and wouldn't let go. Loved it!
Brenda and Lindsey will be here for an overnight stay and visit with Gpa and Gma. Not very long but they will enjoy the company. Hopefully the weather will be good and they can get out and drive around or something.
Travis called this morning. Still hell bent on self destruction. I guess my "nagging" ran him off from the house but hopefully he knows I care and will be there when he needs me. I try to reinforce the fact that drinking and driving isn't all about him. There are lots of other motorists on the road. I left him just this morning buying more beer. So I just told him to go somewhere and drink it and call me if he needed to go somewhere. He just called and he's at Dad's so maybe it will be okay.
Getting anxious about Hannah's arrival. Did you girls know that you had a great, great, great, great grandmother named Hannah also. Not exactly sure how many of the greats there should be but it is pretty far back there. She was a Beanard by birth, married 4 times and had about 10 children. Most of them are Bargers. Actually, thinking about it she is probably not a grandmother but a distant aunt. Anyway, Grandpa got another history book so we can look it up and find out. I'm wondering if she wasn't killing her husbands off. Only one of them lived more than 4 years after marrying her! Hmmmm?
Well, lots to do today - laundry, cleaning, writing lectures, cooking, getting ready for the SuperBowl tomorrow, more cleaning, and taking care of Mom and Dad and more lecture preparation (takes me a long time to get all my info together!)

I think that this has turned into our blog. Mom never gets on here anymore and Juan don't want to. He thinks this is our gossip network and don't wanna get invloved in woman things. He's so funny. Anywho, what I was going to say is that before you rent a movie call me. Juan has some club he's in where he can download movies. We watched Saw IV a couple of weeks ago. Well, my boys are good. We take them for a walk for aobut an hour in the woods every other day now after work. They love being able to get out of the back yard. As far as Hermy, we are having a hard time with keeping the humididty right. But that will be fixed this weekend. Well, I'll get off here but if you want to go eat with us Saturday, sis, give me a call. I'm trying to avoid Sheena. She asked if she could have a BBQ at my house. She has her own damn house. Turd.

Howdy howdy!

Things are good here. No one has written in awhile so I figured I would drop one in on yall! Work sucks. Can't wait for the MC career to be over so I can go be a nurse. Jeremy and me are good. Taylor is good. Poon is good. Everything is good as long as I am not at work. Our friend Mike that used to live with us but moved away on orders to Pennsylvannia is here visiting this week. He leaves tomorrow morning though. Very sad. He is trying to get orders back down here to Jax though. Hopefully it will all turn out well with that. We really miss him down here. He's a good friend. And he just told me to say that he misses us everywhere he goes because he loves us dearly. We are watching saw four right now. We rented it last night and half of us fell asleep before we got halfway through it so we are finishing it tonight. So I better go so I'm not annoying them with my typing. too busy

Just too much going on. I'm once again preparing my lectures the night before. I have a plan in mind to change that so I just need to discipline myself to stick to the plan. Pilates is great! I am so sore though. Just indicates how out of shape I really am. There is a girl in the class that had a baby 3 weeks ago. She does better than me. My age is really starting to tell. Icy roads here this morning. I'll wait before going in to see Mom and Dad. No use running my car off the road. It's supposed to start warming up so they should be melted off by 9 or so. Plenty of time to do a little cleaning and give Grandma a bath. My training program for running has been on hold another week. I've tried to work that into my master plan for staying ahead of the game too. I think there is still plenty of time before the June deadline though. Our countertop for the bathroom is finally in (hopefully it will be right this time) so maybe I will have a sink in my bathroom tonight! We've got the bedroom doors up so we'll have some privacy when the Rojas get here. Lots to do today so I better get cracking. Sandy invited me to see a play (Sabrina is the leading role!) so I'll try to make that. Talk to you guys later. Love to all (except the snake!)

I'm baaaack!!!!!!!!!

sorry i haven't posted in a few days. i forgot to do my homework and had a month's worth to catch up on in two nights. my back is killing me and hannah is pissed at being cramped while i sit. funny story though. we thought we lost hermy this morning. didn't see him in his cage. we looked everywhere for like 30 minutes. finally started pushing the substrate around and i about had a heart attack when i uncovered him. little turd burrowed under the sawdust. funny huh? juan thought so. love you all

Well hello to crash and nonny. The snake is ugly. But it's a snake so it's a given that it looks like that. I can't wait till little Hannah gets here. I told Amy that I wouldn't be greedy and would let her hold pnut first when she comes out. Haha. I'm just as excited as Amy and Juan. Pretty laid back day today. Got up and went to the bank. Came back and Jeremy and Poon had french toast and hashbrowns cooking. It was good. Then I sat around for a bit and went to see Amy's snake. But I am going to go for now and watch scrubs before I have to go check in at work from the long weekend. Love to all!!!!

Changing Name

Thought I'd cross over and rename myself. Nonny! What do you think? Will Hannah like it? Sounds like my given name. I like it but of course I will answer to anything the little angel decides to call me.
If you read my other blog (MetroRunners) you know I announced my next big goal. So I'm announcing here too. Next year is the BIG 50 for me and I want to spend it backpacking in the Black Hills. So I'm issuing an invitation to anyone that wants to join me. I know crash has been wanting to do it again and kate hasn't done it before. What about it? We have over a year to make plans. I really don't want to go alone so I'm counting on SOMEBODY to come with.

Time at home today. Catching up on bill paying, cleaning house, working on lectures for school. Ricky called in sick to stay home and work today. We're getting there. Guess what????

We are gonna get a snake. Thought I would share since I know that both of you, along with everyone you talk to, probably thinks this is a bad idea. That is what makes it so funny to me. Anywho, it is a ball python and we are going to name it Herm (m) or Hermy (f), Juan's idea. It grows to around 5 feet but it is a very docile pet that is easy to take care of. Don't worry though, we are going to keep it in the bedroom so it is out of sight and out of mind for when ou all come visit. Just thought I would share.

Life in good ole jax

Things are ok here momma. Sitting on the couch watching tv. Just got done eating supper. We just made a pizza because we weren't very hungry. The boys are watching the military channel about guns and blowing stuff up. It's interesting but something that I'm kind of used to hearing about constantly. Sometimes I hate military life. Not much longer though. Jeremy is doing good. Going fishing every weekend as a "guys day". It's so cute. They come back all frozen like a Popsicle. I don't like cold weather so I am completely satisfied staying inside. Taylor is doing good. We are going to try and get her tomorrow when they get back from fishing. I am watching our friends Sean and Tiff's kids tomorrow. Tiff has to work and I told Sean I would watch the kids if he wanted to go fishing with Jeremy and Poon. They are going to freeze. Sean has a daughter named Adrianna she is almost a year younger than Taylor but not quite a year. And Tiff has a son named Bricyn. He is a little over a year a think. They are both adorable. But most certainly not as adorable as Taylor. I suppose I am going to go get ready for bed. I haven't had to watch kids besides Taylor in a while. So 2 kids tomorrow is going to wear me out. I love you guys! Sweet dreams and good night!

Invitations

I'm not sure if I have Juan's email address. I set this up so nobody but authors can read it but all those factors can be changed. I made you an administrator too so you can change anything you like. Add some pictures or whatever. Invite anybody in the family. The more the merrier. We will probably change topics then too. I invited Brenda but I might have gotten her email addy wrong. Most people think it is junk mail and delete it unless they know.

Grandma was a little confused this morning. comes and goes. Grandpa was all built up about the new medication that has been in the news but found out it cost $30K per year. I told him most companies have programs to help reduce the out of pocket expense. So I'm still hopeful. Mary ran off the other night and hasn't returned yet. I think his tomcat instincts kicked in. Unless somebody steals him, I think he'll eventually come back. It was less than 10 degrees this morning. Can't imagine that whatever he's doing is worth laying out in the cold! But he's male so who knows which head he's thinking with (sorry to any of the men who may be reading).

Woke up without water this morning. Trying to get it unfrozen. Shower will have to wait. Sourdough bread is rising on the counter, Ginger's sleeping on the floor, Rick's gone to Lowe's, I'm planning what furniture I'm going to move next while I eat CC cookies with my coffee, several books waiting to be read. LIFE IS GOOD!

i posted on your metro runners first. hope it helps you. i just know that only walking will get you so far. so i left some other ideas to try. you might want to go to books a million and look at the running magazines. i have a subscription to runners world. always something new to try and change is always good.

i think bub is finally starting to realize that he needs to start getting used to being on his own. you have too much on your plate to have to baby sit a 23 year old too. anywho, let hem go and do his thing and hopefully he will be moved out. one of these days he'll realize he can't be there when he wants to bring a girl home.

i will tell kate again about this, maybe even show her. you need to invite juan though too. unless it is just a girl thing. he asked what we talk about and i told him bub and rick. he said he didn't want to betray his men bybeing a part of our blog. i thought that was funny.

Just checking my blogs. I sent a request to you and Kate to join the other blog about running. So far it's just me and Denese but maybe it will grow.
Travis hasn't come home the last few nights. Not sure what he's been doing. Hate to be checking on him all the time. I guess he's doing better.
Rick and I went to the movies last night with Joe and Judy. Ate at Olive Garden-Yum Yum! Inspired me to try some Italian cooking. I also have my sourdough started and working this weekend. Fresh bread tomorrow!!! If you wanted some, the recipe to make the starter is in the Blue Willow cookbook I sent you.
I wanted to do some organizing and putting away but can't get very far. I really need some bookshelves or something to put things away. Can't get stuff out of boxes if there isn't anything to do but put it in another box. I guess it all takes time. Rick has been steadily getting the doors and trim up. At least we can have some privacy now.

Well, bub is gonna have to pull his head outta his ass if he is ever going to find someone to settle with. He's just being a turd and it pisses me off. That girl isn't going to want anything to do with him if she finds out about his lifestyle. Bub works hard when he works though, so it might be a step up for the lady. No kid deserves to live in that kind of enviroment. I would kick him out though. He has friends he can go to but he needs to know that you are available if he needs you. Besides he needs to be thrown back into the fire anyway. The sooner he faces the truth instead of running from it, the sooner he can get over it. Juan actually agreed with that one, so it must be right. If it hurt him that bad, he wouldn't be running around with all these other girls.

Another day

I was home at noon to go to the dentist. Travis was sleeping. He told me I should kick him out. He also said he hated the thought of going home and being alone. How do you respond to that? His friend is going to fix him up with his sister who is older, divorced and has 2 kids. Travis seemed to be looking forward to it. She is in nursing school to be a RN. Apparently she and the hubby broke up because he wanted to lay out drinking all the time. sounds like a match for Jenna to me. He's not home now but he left the coffee pot on. He's kind of an every other night drunk!
I'll post more if anything else happens. Otherwise we're all fine. Half my face is numb but that's only temporary. How's Hannah? Juan? Buckley? Cooper? Sue?

Training Advice

I'd be happy to get some training advice. Right now we are just walking and some of us (the younger ones) are running part of the time. Denese and I walked 2 1/2 miles last night in about 40 minutes (I forgot to start my stopwatch). I'll send an invite to the other runners website and you and Kate can motivate and advise us all. Participants are me, Denese P, Judy N, Tina and a friend of Tina's named Julie. So check out both the blogs.

hey mama i was thinking. how long do you have before the actual race and what goal did you set for the race itself? A 5k is what we have to run for our PFT so me and sis might be able to help you get started and keep you motivated.

Just in case you're curious about the tortoise name: I started another blog for a group of us that are wanting to train for the Superman 5K race in June. It is supposed to keep us motivated and on track. So far so good. Despite the cold.
